Hi, I’m Chiara.

pronounced “kee-AH-rrrah”

With me, you’ll definitely learn how to roll your R’s!

My path into the mental health field has been deeply non-linear, much like the healing process itself. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent over a decade in nonprofit spaces devoted to anti-genocide advocacy, social justice, and environmental conservation. My own healing journey ultimately called me toward relational therapeutic work and a deeper truth: world peace begins with inner peace. So over time, I traded picket signs and petitions for a yoga mat and a meditation cushion.

Since 2011, my own healing journey has led me to explore an expansive range of holistic, somatic, transpersonal, and spiritual healing practices. Along the way, I have personally experienced acupuncture (including with a traditional healer in Monteverde, Costa Rica), Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) tapping, Polarity Therapy and Craniosacral Therapy, Rolfing, chiropractic care and cupping, physical therapy, deep-tissue and injury-specific massage, Frequency-Specific Microcurrent, Qigong, yoga, sound baths, chakra balancing, ecstatic dance, shamanic journeying and soul retrieval, Biomagnetic Pranic Healing, cannabis, psilocybin, a medically supervised five-day water fast and a nine-day juice cleanse, and Buddhist and other spiritual retreats. Meditation has been another significant part of my path, including two 10-day Vipassana silent meditation courses and one three-day course in the tradition of S.N. Goenka.

My journey has also included extensive exploration of psychotherapy and mind-body approaches, including somatic trauma therapy approaches such as Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)® and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I’ve also experienced Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, Jungian shadow work and dream analysis, and Somatic Experiencing. There have been many other experiences along the way, each contributing in its own way to how I understand healing, embodiment, and the human experience. Through it all, I have come to embrace a simple truth: it’s the journey, not the destination.

Today, I identify as a Medical Medium-informed chronic illness self-healer and thriver. Chronic illness and invisible disability are meaningful parts of my story, though disability is not my current reality. I am also a global citizen, Italian-American, Scorpio, INFJ-T, empath, and highly sensitive person (HSP) who is bisexual, Ⓥ vegan, and spiritual. These intersecting parts of who I am enable me to show up with compassion, understanding, and sensitivity, and help me attune to my clients’ lived experiences while honoring their various identities.

When I’m not seeing clients, I enjoy the little things that help connect me to myself and Mother Earth: yoga, hiking, forest bathing, swimming in natural water holes, dancing (Shakira!), attending spiritual retreats, spending time with my partner, and bonding with my captive-bred pet jumping spider named Rockyna. 🕷️💕
